Alan and Warren were down the main lake on the weekend testing out the new ramp that Warren has built. From all accounts the ramp works really well and will allow members to enter the water and launch boats without tripping on the bank. As the ramp is portable, we may even be able to use it at the practice lake.
On behalf of the Association, I would like to thank Warren for building the ramp and his boss for donating the materials. This is an excellent bit of kit to have on our books.
If anyone has a spare 30 minutes or so and a whipper sniper, the edges at the main lake need a quick trim. If we keep on top of it, it won’t be a big job to clean up. I would head down but my whipper snipper self destructed last time and I haven’t had it fixed yet. Let me know if you can help out.
Just a reminder that our run day is on this Saturday 5th April commencing from around 1:00pm. If you are ever unsure on when we are running, our website always has the latest details. Just check this page out http://www.tmpba.com/Club_Calendar
If you are heading past Yarrawonga during 22-27 April, drop in and have a look at the AMPBA Nationals. This looks like it is going to be huge even with plenty of action in Petrol, Nitro and Electric boat racing.
Don’t forget to vote for the Electric rule change proposal. I know a few members have already sent off their forms but here is a link for those that haven’t http://www.ampba.asn.au/2008%20AMPBA%20PROPOSED%20RULE%20CHANGE.pdf
Happy Boating
