When: 8th to 10th December, 2006.
Where: “Detention Basin”, Sydney International Regatta Centre. Castlereagh Rd, Penrith NSW.
Entry Details: All entries must be submitted on the form provided, together will all entry fees to the race secretary no later than 10th of November, 2006. No late, phone, e-mail or fax entries will be accepted. Entries submitted without a signature, alternate frequency, fee’s, or AMPBA number will not be accepted.
Entry Fee’s: $30.00 Registration (includes 1st boat) $10.00 for each additional boat.
Format: It is intended to run 4 rounds of racing for all classes (weather and time permitting) with all rounds counting towards the competitor’s score.
Program Friday 8th December – Uncontrolled practice from 10.30am Saturday 9th December - Drivers meeting 9.00am Racing from 9.15am (no practice). Sunday 10th July - Drivers meeting 9.30am Racing from 9.45am (no practice). All AMPBA model boaters have been invited to New Zealand for the Easter 2007 for a 4 day event with Australia vs New Zealand. This New Zealand sanctioned event is called “THUNDER DOWNUNDER” This event is to be an annual event with the New Zealand teams racing in Australia in Easter 2008.The race will be at the Hakanoa Lake and organized by the AMPBA equivalent in New Zealand called the NZMPBA.This is to be a family trip with entertainment organized for all including our wives and children.There is a hot air balloon festival on at the same time so we will need to know numbers and book soon. Big thanks to Dave Oakman who made and installed a new set of buoys on the practice lake. The new buoys are boat friendly and should stop any more damage being done to boats when getting too close. Thanks Dave

Just a reminder that fees for the Model Boat Club of NSW which include AMPBA fee are due on 1 Jul 06. Being a paid up member provides insurance while boating on the lake. Information on fees and the membership application can be downloaded from the MBC of NSW site.
